Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ReluTech, LLC ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the ReluTech Store, and explains your privacy rights under applicable U.S. law.

This policy applies specifically to the ReluTech Store. It covers our storefront and the checkout that processes your order. For our corporate website at https://relutech.com, see the separate Privacy Policy published there.

Intended audience

The ReluTech Store is intended for customers in the United States. We ship only within the United States. This Privacy Policy is designed primarily for U.S. residents.

If you access the Store from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we limit non-essential cookies and analytics until you opt in (see Cookies and our Cookie Policy on the Store). We do not offer the Store as a service directed to those regions.

Definitions (selected)

  • Company: ReluTech, LLC, 130 Technology Parkway NW, Suite 200, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092, United States.
  • Checkout Provider: Shopify Inc., which hosts checkout and processes payments on our behalf.
  • Service / Website / Site: The ReluTech Store storefront at https://shop.relutech.com and checkout at https://relutech.myshopify.com.
  • Personal Data / Personal Information: Information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you or your household (as defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including the CCPA/CPRA for California residents).
  • Business, Consumer, Sale, Share: Have the meanings given under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, where those laws apply.
  • Cookies: Cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy on the Store.
  • Usage Data: Data collected automatically about how the Service is accessed and used (for example IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, device identifiers, diagnostics).
  • You: The individual using the Service, or the entity on whose behalf the Service is used.

1. Personal Data we collect

Information you provide

Depending on how you use the Store, this may include:

  • Email address, name, phone number
  • Billing and shipping address
  • Order details and order history
  • Account information if you create an account
  • Messages you send us
  • Information submitted through forms on the Store, including equipment sell / quote / lead forms (for example contact details, company name, equipment details, and related notes)

Information collected automatically

Usage Data and cookie/device data as described in our Cookie Policy, including pages viewed, products viewed, cart and search activity, approximate location derived from IP, and diagnostics.

Payment data

Payment card details are collected and processed by Shopify. ReluTech does not receive or store full payment card numbers. Card processing is handled under Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant systems. See https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy

Sources

We collect Personal Data from you, from your device/browser when you use the Service, from Shopify in connection with checkout and orders, and from service providers that support analytics or marketing as described below.

2. Cookies and tracking (defaults disclosed)

We use essential cookies to run the Store (cart, checkout session, security, storing your preferences). We also use analytics tools.

Default settings:

  • United States: Analytics storage is granted by default. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity run from the first visit unless you choose Reject in our cookie banner (or later change preferences). Advertising storage is denied by default and stays off unless you choose Allow. We do not currently run advertising, remarketing, or cross-site advertising tags.
  • EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: Analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. GA4 and Clarity do not run for analytics until you Allow them in the banner.

Your preference is stored for about 120 days and, where supported, passed to Shopify checkout. Shopify may still set its own essential cookies on relutech.myshopify.com to complete your order.

Microsoft Clarity may record session interactions (for example clicks and scrolling) to help us improve the Store. Payment fields are handled on Shopify checkout. Avoid entering sensitive information in free-text fields on the storefront when possible.

3. How we use Personal Data

We use Personal Data to:

  • Fulfill and deliver orders; process returns and support
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service
  • Create and manage accounts
  • Perform our contract with you and related customer service
  • Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates)
  • Respond to requests and administer privacy choices
  • Analyze Store performance and usability (including GA4 and Clarity, subject to your cookie preferences)
  • Evaluate equipment you offer to sell or inquire about, and follow up on those requests
  • Send marketing or promotional communications where permitted (see Email and lead marketing below)
  • Comply with law, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms

4. Email and lead marketing (including Pardot)

Order-related email

We send emails needed to fulfill your order and provide customer service. These are not marketing messages.

Marketing email

Where allowed, we may send marketing about products or services similar to those you purchased or inquired about. You can unsubscribe via the link in those emails or by emailing marketing@relutech.com.

Sell-equipment and other lead forms + Salesforce Pardot

If you submit a sell-equipment, quote, or other lead form on the Store, we use the information to evaluate and respond to your request. We also use Salesforce Pardot (Salesforce) as a service provider to manage leads and related email communications.

At the point of collection (on the form), we provide a short notice describing these purposes and linking to this Privacy Policy. After you submit, you may receive a confirmation or follow-up email about your request. Where we send marketing emails (for example product updates or offers related to your inquiry), those messages include an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out anytime by emailing marketing@relutech.com. 5. How we share Personal Data

We share Personal Data with:

  • Shopify Inc. — service provider / checkout provider — checkout, payment, shipping coordination, account/inventory as applicable
  • Google (GA4 / Tag Manager / Shopify Google & YouTube app for purchase events) — analytics and Store performance
  • Microsoft (Clarity) — session analytics and heatmaps
  • Salesforce / Pardot — lead management and permitted marketing
  • Affiliates under common control — only as needed to operate ReluTech businesses, subject to this policy
  • Professional advisors / processors — legal, accounting, security, hosting as needed
  • Business transferees — merger, acquisition, or asset sale (we will provide notice before Personal Data becomes subject to a different privacy policy where required)
  • Authorities — as required for legal process, law enforcement, safety, or fraud prevention

We do not currently share Personal Data with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell Personal Data for money.

6. Retention

We keep Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including order and tax/accounting records, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Lead records are retained while we evaluate or pursue the opportunity and for a reasonable period afterward for follow-up and compliance, unless a shorter period is required or you make a valid deletion request we can honor. Usage and analytics data is retained according to our tool settings and business needs.

7. Transfers and processing locations

We and our service providers (including Shopify) may process information in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. Those locations may have different privacy laws than your state of residence. We use service providers that offer contractual and security commitments appropriate for their role.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your privacy choices and California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Cookie preferences

Use the Store cookie banner / preference center to reject analytics (or, in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, to Allow analytics) and to allow advertising if advertising tags exist. Details: Cookie Policy on the Store.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:

  • Know / access categories and specific pieces of Personal Information collected
  • Know sources, purposes, and categories of third parties with whom we disclose Personal Information
  • Delete Personal Information (subject to legal exceptions, including completing transactions and legal retention)
  • Correct inaccurate Personal Information
  • Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not currently sell or share for that purpose; we do not run ad tags today)
  • Limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights

How to submit a request: Email marketing@relutech.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," or call us at the number listed on https://relutech.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, extendable once when reasonably necessary).

Shine the Light: California residents may request information about disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for those parties' direct marketing purposes once per year by emailing marketing@relutech.com.

Minors: The Store is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of consumers under 16. California residents under 18 who have posted content may request removal under Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22581 by contacting us.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Our Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. We do not currently treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an automated opt-out. You can still control analytics cookies through our banner and contact us for other privacy requests. We may update this approach if our advertising or "sharing" practices change.

10. Other state privacy laws

If you live in a U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and others as they take effect), you may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain targeted advertising or sales. Email marketing@relutech.com to exercise those rights. We will process requests in line with applicable law.

11. Third-party checkout and linked sites

Checkout is provided by Shopify on relutech.myshopify.com. Shopify's privacy practices: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy

The Service may link to third-party sites (including relutech.com). Their practices are governed by their own policies. The corporate site Privacy Policy is separate from this Store policy.

12. Children's privacy

The Store is for business and adult purchasers of enterprise IT equipment. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it where required.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we post a revision. For material changes, we will take additional steps that are appropriate under the circumstances (for example a Store banner or email to account holders). The updated policy applies to information collected after it becomes effective and to existing information as permitted by law.
